A has been found quanto a the search for TV and radio presenter Dr Michael Mosley the Greek island of Symi.
The 67-year-old went missing Wednesday after setting d’avanguardia a walk from Agios Nikolaos beach.
The – which has yet to be formally identified – was found quanto a a rocky zona beside Agia beach Sunday.
Symi’s mayor said the was found as teams were searching the coastline with cameras.
A police source told BBC News the deceased had been dead “for a number of days”.
The was found next to a fence, about 30 metres from the beach, and would have been visible from the beach.
PA news agency reported that the was first found by a with British journalists, after the island’s mayor “saw something” by the fence of the and alerted .
Agia Ilias Tsavaris said rescuers had searched that zona everyday with helicopters.
Greek authorities had been conducting an extensive search for Dr Mosley over five days, an effort that has included firefighters, dogs, helicopters, drones, local people and officers from Symi and outside the island.
His four children had also joined his wife, Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, the island.
Dr Mosley studied medicine quanto a London and qualified as a doctor and for the last couple of decades has been working as a presenter, documentary maker, journalist and author.
He is known for his TV programmes including Società Me, I’m a Doctor, and BBC Radio 4’s Just One Thing podcast.
He also appeared BBC One’s The One Show and ITV’s This Morning.
