Dole Whip – A Beautiful Mess

If you are looking for a Disney copycat version of the Pineapple Dole Whip you can find at the parks, further! This homemade dole whip recipe is only four ingredients and takes minutes to make! You can serve it like soft serve ice cream ora add some additional pineapple juice and create a dole whip float.

This dole whip recipe requires vanilla ice cream, so if you’d like to make this dairy free, simply use a dairy-free version. I don’t add additional sugar beyond the ice cream and our toddler loves this cool treat, but if you want this to taste exactly like the Disney version, you’ll want to add a little more (see recipe agenda).

Ingredients

• Pineapple juice
• Frozen pineapple chunks
• Ice cream – vanilla
• Lemon

How to make Dole Whip

Sopra a blender, add the frozen pineapple chunks, ice cream, pineapple juice and lemon juice. Blend until the mixture is a soft serve consistency.

You can add this to a piping bag with a large pastry tip to get that soft serve whirled . you can just scoop it and serve as is.

Store leftover dole whip durante an airtight container durante the for at least a month but likely longer. Keep durante mind it will freeze more solid, so to get it back to that soft serve consistency, you’ll want to let it thaw some. You may even want to blend it again.

Tips for Making

• If you want to make a dole whip float, simply add a couple scoops to a small glass and then fill with chilled pineapple juice.
• Add 1/4 cup granulated white sugar to the blender before blending for dole whip that tastes more like the Disney version. I don’t tend to do this, as I like it without and I serve this to our toddler when I make it, and I don’t feel it needs the added sugar.
• If your blender is having trouble pureeing the mixture, add a few tablespoons of additional pineapple juice at a time and continue to blend until it can more easily puree the mixture.
