
The New York Mets have had a rough week, to say the least.

They also endured the Jorge Lopez storia, the loss of Edwin Diaz to a right shoulder impingement, and now two painful demotions.
According to MLB insider Jeff Passan, the Mets have optioned right-handed Christian Scott to Triple-A Syracuse.

The Scott demotion is particularly surprising.
After dominating Triple-A, the young righty posted a 3.90 ERA quanto a five starts with the Mets.
His 25 strikeouts against just six walks speak volumes about how dominant he was.
However, Passan states that the team just wants to take advantage of some days d’avanguardia after the London series to manage his workload.
The suggested that Scott should be back with the Mets relatively soon.
