Gary Kelly and Jason Kawejsza have been elevated to main positions on the newly unveiled Interscope Capitol Labels Group (ICLG).
Kelly has been appointed Chief Income Officer and Common Supervisor, and Kawejsza has been named Government Vice President, Head of Enterprise & Authorized Affairs for the corporate.
The information arrives a day after the announcement that Common Music Group‘s frontline label teams within the US, Interscope Geffen A&M and Capitol Music Group, are actually formally consolidated beneath the brand new title of Interscope Capitol Labels Group (ICLG).
ICLG is comprised of all artists, labels, and personnel throughout the firms previously named Interscope Geffen A&M and Capitol Music Group.
Interscope Capitol Labels Group is headed up by Chairman & CEO, John Janick.
Based on the newest announcement on Friday (March 8), in his new place, Kelly oversees quite a few firm departments, and is charged with “attracting and interesting followers throughout myriad markets, whereas constructing various income streams”.

Kawejsza is chargeable for overseeing the ICLG enterprise and authorized affairs division which buildings, negotiates, and drafts all offers for ICLG and its labels.

Previous to his promotion, Kelly was Common Supervisor of Interscope Data having been elevated from his position as World Head of Streaming & Technique to that place in 2023, and including to his tasks as Government Vice President and Chief Income Officer of Interscope Geffen A&M that he had held since 2017.
Kelly started his profession as a school rep at Sony Music Distribution and Epic Data, subsequently working in varied advertising and gross sales positions at these firms’ New York, mid-Atlantic and Los Angeles areas.
He left Sony in 2007 for a place at Common Music Group, and joined Interscope in 2010 as Head of Gross sales.
Kawejsza was most lately Government Vice President, Head of Enterprise & Authorized Affairs at Interscope Geffen A&M, a place he held since 2016.
He joined Common Music Group’s company authorized division in 2003, transitioning to Interscope Geffen A&M in 2010 and holding various positions of accelerating accountability there.
Kawejsza graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Tech and earned his Juris Physician diploma from the American College Washington School of Legislation and in addition holds a Masters of Enterprise Administration from The Kogod College of Enterprise at American College.

Preliminary particulars of the restructuring of Common’s labels within the US had been introduced by UMG Chairman and CEO Sir Lucian Grainge final month.
