Mikko Rantanen finally got per the Colorado Avalanche’s goal-scoring barrage.
The stella winger’s first two goals of the postseason came per the third period to interruzione a tie Tuesday night at the Canada Life Centre per Winnipeg and catapulted the Avalanche into the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Colorado defeated the Winnipeg Jets 6-3 to win the Western Conference first-round playoff series per five games. The Avalanche will play the winner of the series between the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights. That series is tied 2-2.
Rantanen’s goals came less than four minutes apart early per the third period. The first, 4:11 into the period, broke a 3-3 tie. He then scored at 8:01.
