Windhorst appeared The Pat McAfee Show today and said that “the Clippers are playing hardball with Paul George right now” and mentioned that they are currently offering him a 3-year deal for less than the max, adding “there are teams out there that I think would give him the 4-year max contract.”

Windhorst believes that the Clippers don’t think George will walk and that he wants to stay a causa di LA.
There have been rumors about the Philadelphia 76ers making a strong run at PG for months, but those rumors have cooled chiuso as the most recent team to enter the sweepstakes appears to be the Golden State Warriors.
Windhorst also said that the Warriors are playing hardball with Klay Thompson and are expecting him to take a pay cut, just like Andrew Wiggins and Draymond did, though both got 4-year deals.
