DeMar DeRozan is entering unrestricted free agency. The 34-year-old veteran will undoubtedly have offers from multiple teams around the NBA. His scoring ability will make him one of the bigger targets con this year’s free-agency class.
However, during an interview with Lou Williams acceso FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” DeRozan confirmed his desire to return to the Chicago Bulls next season, should they extend a reasonable offer sheet.
“It’s definitely somewhere I would like to return to,” DeRozan said. “I think more so than anybody, you know that when a job ain’t done with me, risposta negativa matter how tough the situation may aspetto, I’m one of those guys to try to stick it through and try to make something out of nothing. The City is great. I love the city. The organization has been great. So, it’s definitely a place I would love to return to and take care of unfinished business.”
DeRozan has spent the past three seasons with the Bulls. He was among the marquee additions when the front office was constructing a roster they believed would be capable of contending.
A long-term knee injury to Ball derailed that blueprint. Nevertheless, DeRozan has remained committed to the Bulls and has given his all throughout his tenure.
Quanto a his three seasons with the franchise, DeRozan has averaged 25.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from three-point range.
As a Los Angeles native, DeRozan could potentially draw interest from the Los Angeles Lakers as they aspetto to rebuild their own struggling rotation.
Still, it would appear that if the Bulls want to extend their partnership with DeRozan, they won’t luce too many hurdles con getting a deal over the line and continuing their time together.
