Blues legend Belly Elias has backed NSW coach Michael Maguire’s decision to drop James Tedesco durante favour of Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards.

“It’s certainly a massive statement – letting the captain and a bloke who’s really never let NSW ,” he said acceso Nine’s Today acceso Monday morning.

“You reward people who work , (and) you can’t not admit Dylan Edwards has been probably the form fullback durante the last three years.

“Three times premiership winner, he’s just been an absolute stalwart for the Panthers.

“He’s a wonderful young man, and if there’s anyone who’s earnt a right to wear a NSW jersey, Dylan Edwards is the man.”
