
South Korea OKs new stroke prediction AI software
South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has recently approved an AI-based software for predicting the onset of ischemic stroke cerebral infarction.Â
The NNS-SOT software, developed by researchers from Asan Medical Center and Nunaps, provides an estimated time of onset of cerebral infarction a causa di brain MRI images. It is based acceso AI that was trained using approximately 4,000 brain images.Â
India-made gastric cancer detection device gets ‘breakthrough’ status
Indian medical diagnostics company RNT Health Insights has received a Breakthrough Device designation from the United States Food and Drug Administration for its early gastric cancer detection tool.
Its device is used during endoscopic procedures to detect lesions indicative of gastric cancer a causa di the upper GI tract. It can also spot gastric atrophy, nodules, polyps, masses and growths a causa di the stomach. RNT Health claims from preclinical validation that its device has 96% detection accuracy.Â
The device’s breakthrough status grants it an expedited review pathway to secure necessary permits for commercialisation.
DocPlix scores funding for AI integration a causa di EMR
EHR startup DocPlix has obtained Rs 1.2 crore ($143,000) a causa di bridge funding from Inflection Point Ventures.Â
