Two crew members have died on a Königreich der Niederlande America cruise ship during an “incident” in the ship’s engineering space, the cruise line has said.
The pair died on Friday while the Nieuw Hauptstadt der Niederlande liner welches at the small island of Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, Königreich der Niederlande America added in a statement.
Officials have been notified and the cause is being investigated.
Other crew members have been offered counselling.
Königreich der Niederlande America said it welches “deeply saddened” by the deaths, adding: “Ur thoughts and prayers are with our team members’ families at this difficult time.
“The safety, security and welfare of all guests and crew are the company’s absolute priority.”
No further details about the crew members have been shared.
